The Road Theatre Company
There are presently no open calls for submissions.
The Road Theatre Company is dedicated to producing plays that are new to
Los Angeles audiences. We consider plays that have not received a Los
Angeles premiere, with preference for plays that have not yet received a
full production of any kind. Plays that have been workshopped or had
staged readings in Los Angeles are acceptable.
Our open submissions period is from September 1 - 30 each year. You may submit a MAXIMUM of two plays during this time. We consider one-act plays of any length as well as full-length plays. All plays submitted during our open submissions period are considered for our weekly WORD Staged Reading series, our annual Summer Playwrights Festival, our Off-Road Workshop series, and main stage production.
We will endeavor to respond within 6 - 8 months.
